We Don’t Want 131 Agencies, We Want a Development Bank

All the jobs done by these expensive agencies were in the once former Yugoslavia performed by the respective ministries, which is why the entire administration of the former SFRY, with six republics and two regions, counted 28 134 people, while in Serbia alone the state administration counts 29 834 employees.

Central Bank Lowers Growth Valuation for 2012

Serbia cannot stay immune to the trends in the global environment, particularly in the Eurozone which is why the Serbian Central Bank has once again revised its GDP growth evaluation for next year from 2% to 1.5%

Balance of Payments Deficit 8.2% Higher

The biggest impact on deficit growth was from a negative goods exchange balance of 12.7%.

The deficit in balance of payments was in the first eight months this year USD 2.4bn, 8.2% higher than in the corresponding period last year, it was stated in the newspaper Conjectural Trends of Serbia, issued by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. Continue reading

Gazprom Raises Profit by 52% in Second Quarter of 2011

The total sale of gas is raised despite the traditional seasonal drop in demand for gas in the spring and summer months.
