STRATEGY and PRINCIPLES of WORK of ECONOMIC COUNCIL
STRATEGY LEVEL
- Development and permanent upgrade of DSS economic program
- Development of Party economic program for the purpose of elections on state, province and local level
- Formulating proposals for development of Serbian economy in general and specific fields of economy
- Development of program devoted to the creation of new jobs and reduction of unemployment
- Proposals of economic models for restructuring and privatization of public enterprises
- Proposals for public administration reform
- Proposals of infrastructural project significant to the country development or development of deprived parts of the country
- Work on integration of companies from Kosovo and Metohija into the Serbian economy mainstream by creation of strong linkages among companies and institutions
- Presentation of natural and economic potentials of Serbia to the representatives of different countries, foreign companies in order to attract strategic investments
- Analysis of government economic policy and suggestion for improvement
OPERATIONAL LEVEL
- Drafting of laws in the area of economy
- Initiate changes of existing laws and by-laws significant for economic development
- Analysis and critical overview on regulatory framework proposed by Government, political parties and all other entitled to initiate legislative process
- Promotion of DSS point of view in regards crucial economic issues
- Communication and coordination with significant institutions in the area of economic development (public agencies, Chambers of Commerce, associations of entrepreneurs etc.)
- Establishment and capacity building of Economic Council Working Groups
