First Chance – The Last One for Every other Person

At the end of 2009 only 50.76 percent of candidates with university education remained employed and 37.90 percent with high school education.

As far as Bojan Popovic (28) from Arilje is concerned, the government program for the employment of young trainees can freely be called “the first and last chance.” After losing his job as an insurance agent near end 2009 at insurance company Wiener Stadtische he did not find other employment. Graduating from the Higher Business School he then received from the state RSD18,000 dinars a month, and after the apprenticeship contract expired, the employer returned Bojan his employment booklet and sent him back to the National Employment Service.
